These ungraded, unwashed eggs come in a variety of colors and sizes from small to very large, but most are medium to large. The eggs are laid by happy hens that run and chase bugs and eat grass in very large electric fence enclosures to keep them safe from predators. At night, we close them in their ground cages where they can safely sleep on their perches. We supplement their foraging feed with non-GMO, mostly organic feed that we ferment. This fermented feed not only gives our eggs and meat a flavor that our customers love to eat, but also gives our products increased nutrition as evidenced by scientific studies. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19373724) In order to retain the natural protection that the eggs have when laid, we DON'T wash them. However, our eggs are clean and fresh when you buy them from us.
